Job Description

Overview

The Restaurant Manager at Rib Crib BBQ will support the General Manager by providing direction and support to employees, ensuring operational efficiency within the restaurant. This position requires a strong focus on training, inventory management, and compliance with health regulations while managing a workweek of 50 to 55 hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and monitor employees to uphold operational standards
  • Assist the General Manager with recruitment, scheduling, and employee relations
  • Coordinate food preparation, cooking, and packaging
  • Monitor food costs and quality controls
  • Record and analyze cash flow, inventory movement, and labor costs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
  • Administer Progressive Discipline Policy as required
  • Demonstrate teamwork by performing any task as needed

Required skills

  • Two years of management experience in a full-service establishment
  • Knowledge of back-of-house and front-of-house operations
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient in using restaurant equipment like cash registers and ovens
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Food Service Manager Certificate and completion of M.I.T. Program
