Job Description

Overview

HCA HealthONE is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead their team at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Littleton, Colorado. This position involves ensuring high levels of patient and employee satisfaction, overseeing staffing and productivity standards, and managing departmental functions. Candidates will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for patient care, quality improvements, and maintaining necessary certifications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction
  • Assume 24-hour accountability for the department
  • Ensure adequate staffing and maintain productivity standards
  • Oversee unit Environment of Care and key regulatory functions
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in respiratory care
  • Participate in interviewing, mentoring, and disciplining staff
  • Develop unit-specific goals, program development, and patient safety initiatives
  • Implement unit specific competencies and annual performance evaluations

Required skills

  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • RRT credential required
  • Expert knowledge of respiratory care principles and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under pressure
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Five years clinician experience preferred
  • Three years supervisor experience preferred
