Job Description

Overview

Menorah Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to oversee operations and administrative functions for the Respiratory Departments at both Menorah Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, staff training, and maintaining high-quality patient care standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all operations and administrative functions of the Respiratory Departments
  • Set objectives, strategic positioning, and service standards in partnership with Administration
  • Oversee budgeting and overall financial performance for respiratory services
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct staff training, quality assurance, and outcome measurements
  • Perform employee coaching, disciplinary actions, and management of staff
  • Evaluate new equipment and conduct in-service trainings
  • Participate in committee meetings and perform performance evaluations
  • Serve as a staff therapist when needed and maintain department policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Bachelor of Science strongly preferred
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Kansas
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP certification required upon hire
  • 5 years of experience as RRT in an acute care setting
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
