Job Description

Overview

The Respiratory Therapist at North Central Baptist Hospitals is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients. This full-time night position includes diagnostic testing, emergency response, and regulatory compliance as part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of respiratory care including diagnostic tests
  • Respond to emergency situations and administer medications and treatments
  • Prepare electronic documentation of services rendered
  • Conduct quality control on respiratory care equipment
  • Maintain safe environment and address patient-specific needs
  • Participate in performance improvement activities

Required skills

  • Graduate of accredited AMA Respiratory Care Program
  • Possession of current RCP State of Texas License
  • Current CRT/RRT Certification from NBRC
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification
  • AHA ACLS and PALS certifications within 60 days of hire
  • Experience in hospital respiratory care preferred
