Overview

The Respiratory Therapist II at Wellstar Health Systems is responsible for delivering medication administration and respiratory care, particularly in critical care situations. This role involves significant independent decision-making, patient assessment, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

  • Administers aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy
  • Performs ventilator management and weaning
  • Conducts arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
