Job Description

Overview

Mercy is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in respiratory care, following physician's orders. The role involves consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as a resource for nursing and physicians.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders
  • Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of therapy
  • Act as a resource for nursing and physicians on respiratory care
  • Perform assigned duties as required

Required skills

  • Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Critical care experience preferred
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs
