Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a Weekend Respiratory Therapist II for the Night Shift at Paulding Hospital in Hiram, GA. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive respiratory care in critical care settings while promoting a positive work environment and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Administers aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen, and medical gas therapy
  • Performs patient assessments and collaborates with healthcare team members
  • Manages ventilator care and performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
  • Provides education to patients and supports staff development
  • Promotes a supportive team environment
  • Complies with all policies, standards of work, and code of conduct

Required skills

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
  • Experience in critical care
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with databases and electronic documentation
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
