Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) to join their team in Roswell, Georgia. This role requires a compassionate and skilled individual to provide high-quality respiratory care and patient education in critical care settings, ensuring the well-being of patients through comprehensive treatment and team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care in complex, multi-problem situations
  • Administer aerosolized medication and perform ventilator management
  • Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and procedures
  • Mentor and precept new employees and students
  • Ensure compliance with policies and quality standards
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate electronic records

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
  • Clinical experience of 0-2 years, preferably with 6 months in critical care
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well with healthcare professionals
  • Computer skills and familiarity with databases
