Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join their Pulmonary Services team in Cambridge, Ohio. This role involves administering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to facilitate patients' breathing, as well as evaluating respiratory care effectiveness and communicating findings with healthcare professionals. The position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency in a caring environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer various respiratory treatments and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Evaluate and document response to respiratory interventions.
  • Collect and analyze patient data to assess respiratory conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and modification of Respiratory Care Plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on respiratory care.
  • Manage respiratory equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Perform administrative duties related to record-keeping and communication with healthcare teams.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care or relevant certification
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification
  • Ohio state license or limited permit for respiratory care
  • Experience with respiratory care technology and patient assessment
  • Knowledge of clinical decision-making processes
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory care
