Overview

The Respiratory Care Therapist at UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital is responsible for providing top-level respiratory care in a direct patient care environment. This role requires exemplary teamwork and adherence to evidence-based practices to achieve superior care outcomes, all while managing technologically advanced clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Manage ventilator integration and airway management
  • Precept new healthcare staff and support their training
  • Contribute to safety and quality improvements at the point of care

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • State licensure
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications within 6 months
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in a complex clinical setting
