Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Respiratory Care Therapist to join their team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This full-time position involves managing ventilator integration and providing high-quality patient care using respiratory therapy protocols in a technologically advanced clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care utilizing respiratory therapy protocols and best practices
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes
  • Prioritize patient wellness and promote evidence-based practice
  • Precept new healthcare staff and support learning in a dynamic environment
  • Manage ventilator integration and airway management across multiple care levels
  • Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Experience in ventilator management and respiratory therapy
