Overview

The Respiratory Care Therapist at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, plays a crucial role in patient care within a dynamic team environment. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality respiratory therapy, prioritizing wellness and evidence-based practices while contributing to patient safety and care outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care utilizing respiratory therapy protocols and best practices
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes
  • Manage ventilator integration, adaptive pulmonary support, and airway management
  • Precept new staff and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to clinical and process improvement projects

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • State licensure (if required by law)
  • ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
  • Experience in managing complex clinical settings and patient care
