Job Description

Overview

SSM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (CRT) to join their team at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. This full-time position involves providing respiratory care services, including evaluating patients, administering therapeutic services, and educating patients and families about respiratory health.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients for appropriate treatment and develop care plans based on diagnosis
  • Provide respiratory care services according to physician's orders and departmental guidelines
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatments based on patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and community support resources
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and department inventory
  • Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • State of Missouri Licensed CRT or RRT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in respiratory care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment
  • Physical endurance for standing, walking, and lifting
