Job Description

Overview

SSM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for its St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri. This PRN position allows for flexible scheduling based on the needs of the practitioner while providing critical respiratory therapy care to patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients for appropriate treatment plans based on diagnosis
  • Provide respiratory care services according to physician's orders and policies
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and support resources
  • Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment
  • Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience
  • Missouri state licensure
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
