Overview

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist II for the NICU in Roswell, Georgia. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory care and education while working in critical care situations. The therapist is expected to play a significant role in patient care management and team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide patient assessment and care in critical care areas
  • Administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy
  • Perform ventilator management and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Educate patients and mentor new employees and students
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members in patient care planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and electronic orders
  • Promote a positive work environment and team spirit
  • Comply with all hospital policies and standards

Required skills

  • Bachelors or Associates in Respiratory Therapy
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
  • Critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to establish relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Familiarity with databases and good customer relation skills
