Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to efficiently control and maintain the flow of residuals, primarily wood chips, from bins to trailers. The role involves operating a yard truck for repositioning trailers and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations while maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading
  • Control and maintain the flow of residuals into trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep work area clean during and after shifts
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
  • Work the Swing Shift (4:00pm - 12:00am)

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Adaptability to various weather conditions and loud environments
  • Ability to perform shift work and overtime as required
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive movements and tolerate working conditions
