Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers. This role primarily involves operating a yard truck to position trailers in the yard and ensuring efficient handling of residuals, particularly wood chips, while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining workspace cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain the flow of residuals from bins to trailers
  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading or unloading
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area throughout the shift
  • Operate controls to release residuals into trailers
  • Stage trailers for easy pickup
  • Report maintenance problems to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Adaptability to various weather and loud conditions
  • Physical stamina for repetitive movements and environment tolerances
