Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers, primarily by operating a yard truck. This role demands attention to safety and cleanliness while ensuring the efficient movement and loading of materials, specifically wood chips. The position requires working the swing shift from 4:00 PM to midnight.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain residual flow from bins to trailers
  • Operate yard truck to reposition trailers for loading or unloading
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area at all times
  • Release residuals into trailers using yard truck controls
  • Stage trailers for efficient pickup
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Physical stamina to perform shifts and adapt to weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment screenings, including drug test and physical assessment
