Overview

Baker Truck Service is looking for a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals (wood chips) from bins to trailers while operating a yard truck. This role involves repositioning trailers and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while performing maintenance and cleanup tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain residual flow from bins to trailers
  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading or unloading
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep work area clean at all times
  • Stage trailers to facilitate ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance problems to the Mechanic Shop and Maintenance Department
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A, CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Ability to adjust work schedule and perform shift work
  • Physical endurance to handle various weather conditions and loud environments
