Job Description

Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to operate a yard truck and manage the flow of residuals, such as wood chips, from bins to trailers. This role requires compliance with safety regulations and maintenance reporting, primarily during the Swing Shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain residual flow from bins to trailers
  • Operate yard truck to reposition trailers for loading/unloading
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep work area clean during and after shift
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to Mechanic Shop
  • Work Swing Shift hours
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Adaptability to various weather conditions and loud environments
  • Physical endurance for repetitive movements and shift work
