Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers. This role involves operating a yard truck for repositioning trailers and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations while maintaining a clean work area.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading
  • Ensure efficient flow of wood chip residuals into trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean work area during and after the shift
  • Stage trailers for easier pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work the Swing Shift from 4:00pm to 12:00am

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Ability to adapt to various working conditions including weather and noise
  • Physical stamina for repetitive movements and standing for long periods
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test and physical examination
