Job Description

Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers, primarily operating a yard truck to position trailers for loading and unloading. The role requires compliance with safety regulations and involves cleaning duties to maintain the work area.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate a yard truck to reposition and dock trailers
  • Control and maintain residual flow into trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep the work area clean during and after the shift
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform all other assigned duties as needed
  • Work the Swing Shift from 4:00pm to 12:00am

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A, CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Flexibility for shift work and overtime
  • Ability to adapt to various weather and loud conditions
  • Pass a hair follicle drug test, physical, and background check
