Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to efficiently manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers. The role involves operating a yard truck, repositioning trailers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while working the swing shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading
  • Control and maintain the flow of residuals (wood chips) into trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep work area clean during and after shift
  • Report maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop and Maintenance Department
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Physical endurance and adaptability to various conditions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
