Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals, such as wood chips, from bins to trailers. The position involves operating a yard truck for repositioning trailers, ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations, and performing cleanup duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain residual flow from bins to trailers
  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading
  • Comply with safety and DOT regulations
  • Stage trailers for efficient pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to the Mechanic Shop
  • Perform cleanup of the work area during and after shifts
  • Adapt to various weather and workplace conditions

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to work in loud and dusty environments
  • Capability to adjust work schedule and perform shift work
