Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers efficiently. The role involves operating a yard truck primarily for repositioning trailers within the yard, docking them for loading or unloading, and ensuring a smooth residual flow of wood chips. Candidates must work the Swing Shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and maintain a clean work environment while complying with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain flow of residuals from bins to trailers
  • Operate yard truck to reposition trailers for loading or unloading
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance problems to mechanics
  • Clean the work area during and after the shift
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Adaptability to various weather and loud conditions
  • Physical fitness to perform various tasks
  • Pass pre-employment screenings including drug test and background check
