Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to manage the flow of residuals from bins to trailers efficiently. This role mainly involves operating a yard truck for repositioning trailers and ensuring a smooth loading and unloading process, particularly for wood chips, while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading
  • Ensure efficient flow of residuals into trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area during and after shifts
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance issues to appropriate departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Physical endurance and ability to adapt to various weather conditions
  • Ability to perform shift work and overtime
  • Pass drug test, physical, and background check
