Overview

As a Residential Direct Support Professional at LOGAN Community Resources, Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This position allows you to make a meaningful impact daily while fostering your career growth in a supportive environment. You will engage in various activities that promote independence and well-being for the individuals served.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Encourage independence and initiate meaningful activities.
  • Assist with personal care, household maintenance, and nutritious meal preparation.
  • Implement goals and objectives as outlined in Individual Support Plans.
  • Administer medications and manage personal care responsibilities.
  • Transport individuals to community resources and recreational activities.
  • Complete documentation and agency reporting in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for individuals' rights.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
