Job Description

Overview

The Resident Care Director at Legacy Pointe at UCF is responsible for overseeing all resident services within the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. This role includes leading clinical evaluations, ensuring resident satisfaction, and promoting a supportive, person-centered care environment while managing staff and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the resident admission process for Assisted Living and Memory Care
  • Conduct ongoing nursing assessments to ensure appropriate services for residents
  • Provide clinical oversight for Memory Care residents and staff support
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care regulations
  • Maintain accurate resident records and documentation
  • Oversee resident transfer and discharge processes
  • Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to staff

Required skills

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience in Assisted Living or related healthcare setting
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia
  • Knowledge of AHCA regulations and best practices for Memory Care operations
