Overview

Rachel Contracting is seeking a Renewable Energy Superintendent to oversee civil construction activities for industrial solar and wind energy projects primarily in the Midwest and Central United States. This role involves managing a workforce, ensuring project compliance, and maintaining safety standards while delivering quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform site grading and oversee civil construction activities for solar and wind projects
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to plan and execute work
  • Interpret project specifications and coordinate construction phases
  • Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
  • Manage and lead a field workforce of 5 to 25 team members
  • Support the Project Manager with material procurement and scheduling
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with safety standards

Required skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
  • Strong leadership abilities in dynamic environments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple operations and priorities simultaneously
  • Commitment to a safe work environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Experience in earthwork, drainage systems, and utilities installation
