Overview

The Renal Dietitian position at U.S. Renal Care involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care for patients with kidney disease at the Mustang Dialysis Clinic in Naples, Florida. The role includes assessing patient nutritional needs, recommending therapeutic diets, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Recommend therapeutic diets based on patient nutritional needs and preferences
  • Review lab results and provide education on nutritional interventions
  • Conduct patient assessments and care planning activities
  • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care conferences
  • Collaborate with medical staff and community partners
  • Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health
  • Maintain a quality assurance program
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities

Required skills

  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification
  • Minimum one-year experience in clinical nutrition
  • Current Dietitian (LD/LDN) license in applicable state
  • State certification (Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist) required in CT and NY
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the English language
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in company clinical applications within 90 days of hire
