Overview

The Reliability Technician at West Fraser in Orange Park, Florida, is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the planer machine. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and assisting with major repairs while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using calipers
  • Monitor and maintain the planer machine
  • Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain proper setup and operation of the planer
  • Ensure quality finish of the product
  • Feed the planer and ensure a constant lumber flow
  • Assist maintenance on major machine repairs
  • Change knives as required
  • Conduct housekeeping duties as assigned
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training

Required skills

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance
