Overview

Description :The Registration Specialist II is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits, as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes. The Registration Specialist II greets and serves patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner, promoting positive encounters. Float positions will travel to different CoxHealth locations and may have extended hours, depending on the department's business needs. These locations include the main hospitals and other off-site registration sites, such as Emergency Departments, Urgent Care Centers, and Outpatient areas.
