Office locations include: Monterey (CA), Roseville (CA), Bakersfield (CA), Phoenix (AZ), and Spokane (WA).Job OverviewThe purpose of this position is to lead the underwriting and production efforts of a team of Ag Underwriters. The Underwriting Team Leader is responsible for day-to-day production, underwriting quality, account management, and referral authority. This position is responsible for the direction and management of up to eight direct reports, including small to middle market production underwriters working in an office and/or remote environment.The Underwriting Team Leader provides technical direction to Ag Lines team in the interpretation of Ag Lines underwriting policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, direct responsibility for new and existing business, acceptance, declination, workflow, department procedures, and proper application of corporate underwriting policies, procedures and compliance with Insurance regulations.This position will also have individual production responsibilities involving large and more complex technical accounts as well as providing superior support to CIG top and or middle tier agents.Minimum RequirementsEducation and Experience:College degree (or equivalent experience) and seven to ten years of progressively challenging experience as an Ag Lines Underwriter.This individual must have ability to apply sound underwriting principles and manage an underwriting workload.The position also requi
