Overview

The Regional Manufacturing Engineer - Automation at Clarios is responsible for driving innovation and technological advancement in manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and standardizing manufacturing equipment and processes across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Stay updated with advancements in manufacturing technology, including automation and AI.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with SME leaders and Product Engineering to design systems and minimize complexities.
  • Ensure automated processes comply with environmental and sustainability regulations.
  • Lead the direction and coordination of manufacturing equipment proposals within the region.
  • Implement efficient automated systems for regional applications.
  • Oversee the design processes aligning with regional operational goals.
  • Conduct quality control, functional tests, and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Monitor application and machine performance, preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Manage documentation and provide training for SMEs and operations teams.
  • Travel up to 60% to various regional sites as required.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with IT systems exposure
  • Understanding of Functional Safety and relevant IEC/ANSI/ISA Standards
  • Proficiency in Manufacturing Operations, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLC programming
  • Experience with MS Project, Office, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Robotics, Vision systems, AI, and Data trends
  • Familiarity with OT Networks and Security
