Overview

The Regional Manufacturing Engineer - Automation at Clarios will lead initiatives in researching and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability within the regional operations. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams, oversight of manufacturing equipment standardization, and adherence to environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead research and implementation of new manufacturing technologies
  • Collaborate with SME leaders and product engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals
  • Coordinate manufacturing equipment proposals and standardization efforts
  • Implement automated systems for regional manufacturing applications
  • Conduct quality control, functional tests, and troubleshoot systems
  • Monitor system performance and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Manage documentation and provide training to teams
  • Travel up to 60% to various regional sites

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Understanding of Functional Safety and relevant standards
  • Proficiency in Manufacturing Operations, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLC programming
  • Experience with MS Project, Office, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Robotics, Vision systems, AI, and Data
  • Knowledge of OT Networks and Security
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
