Overview

New River Electrical is seeking a Regional Manager for Underground Transmission to manage complex projects in Richmond, Virginia. This on-site role involves providing leadership for project teams, overseeing business development activities, project management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and influence complex projects within a regional territory
  • Supervise project teams and conduct HR administrative duties
  • Conduct business development and manage customer relationships
  • Prepare estimates, bids, and develop bidding strategies
  • Oversee project initiation plans and cash flow projections
  • Manage job site safety audits and ensure compliance
  • Develop training for crews on best process and procedures
  • Communicate with project sites and customers on project issues
  • Manage project costs and financial reconciliation
  • Supervise employee performance, coaching, and development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or project management preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of construction project management experience
  • Experience in a Senior or Principal Project Manager role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of construction principles and best practices
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
