Overview

Cannon Corp is seeking a Regional Manager of Land Development to lead their Southern California operations from the Irvine office. This senior leadership role prepares the candidate for advancement as Director of Development, overseeing diverse residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects while mentoring engineering teams and developing business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow Cannon's Development team across Southern California.
  • Conduct business development activities and secure new development opportunities.
  • Provide project management for multiple civil engineering land development projects.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments, clients, and agencies.
  • Manage coordination with jurisdictional agencies to obtain approvals.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are met.
  • Represent Cannon professionally in all client and community interactions.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
  • California P.E. license.
  • 15+ years of experience in civil engineering related to land development.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management within scope, budget, and performance constraints.
  • Experience with business development and client management.
  • Strong relationships in the Southern California developer and builder community.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor employees.
  • Expertise in land development design.
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.).
  • Experience processing improvement plans with jurisdictional agencies.
  • Public speaking skills for presentations to clients and agencies.
