Job Description

Overview

Cargill is seeking a Refrigeration Technician Lead for their Round Rock, Texas location. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the facility's industrial ammonia system and leading industrial maintenance projects, aiming for continuous improvement in alignment with business strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor with duties and lead projects
  • Maintain all aspects of the facility's industrial ammonia system
  • Lead preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance across the facility
  • Leverage CMMS and provide feedback for areas of improvement
  • Review completed work and conditions in maintenance software
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Adhere to safety rules and maintain a clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain Operator 1 Certificate within a year
  • 2 years of industrial/utility experience or equivalent technical degree
  • English language proficiency
  • Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Certification or experience
  • Knowledge of Compressed Air systems and basic electrical systems
  • Prior experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Experience with industrial utility maintenance
