Overview

Cargill is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join their protein and salt business in West Columbia, South Carolina. This full-time role involves ensuring the proper operation of refrigeration, boiler, and HVAC systems while participating in the ammonia PSM program and various maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure proper operation of refrigeration, boiler, and HVAC systems through monitoring, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Participate in training and documentation activities related to the ammonia PSM program.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Current knowledge of commercial/industrial refrigeration
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Technical degree in HVAC or ammonia refrigeration or equivalent industrial experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics
  • Willingness to be trained in Hazmat Level A Entry
  • Ability to wear a full-face respirator
