Overview

The Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys will lead, train, and mentor a project crew while ensuring the efficient and timely completion of various HVAC and refrigeration projects. This role involves hands-on work, including supermarket refrigeration installs and copper brazing, while managing project schedules and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a project crew of 5-7 people.
  • Communicate with tradespeople on the job site and track project schedules.
  • Perform hands-on tasks including copper brazing and refrigeration installs.
  • Report on job status and performance.
  • Control job costs and maintain productive relationships with peers and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related trade.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience.
  • Hands-on experience with supermarket refrigeration, copper brazing, and wiring.
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and efficient use of labor hours.
  • Ability to organize tasks, delegate assignments, and ensure safe work practices.
  • Proficient in business tools including email, Word, Excel, and ERP software.
