Job Description

Overview

As a Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys in Orlando, Florida, you will lead, train, and mentor a project crew while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time. This role involves hands-on responsibilities such as copper brazing and the installation of supermarket refrigeration systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-7 people on assigned projects
  • Communicate and coordinate with tradespeople on the job site
  • Track project schedule and report job status and performance
  • Ensure compliance with installation policies and safety procedures
  • Control job costs and develop relationships with customers and subcontractors
  • Oversee the work of apprentices and journeymen
  • Implement safe work practices and ensure the use of PPE

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industries
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration installation experience
  • Hands-on experience with copper brazing, underground and above ground wiring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school completion is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and delegate assignments
  • Familiarity with business tools such as E-Mail, Word, Excel, and ERP software
  • Strong judgment and communication skills
