Job Description

Overview

The Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys will lead and mentor a project crew while ensuring the efficient completion of refrigeration installations and related projects. This role requires hands-on experience in supermarket refrigeration and effective communication with team members and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor a project crew of 5-7 people
  • Serve as the lead technical resource on assigned projects
  • Communicate with trades people on the job site
  • Track project schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Control job costs and report on job performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Oversee the work of Apprentices and Journeyman on specific projects
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, and subcontractors

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related trade
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience
  • Hands-on experience with copper brazing, underground and above ground wiring
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to organize tasks and give clear instructions
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Experience with business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, and ERP software
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with policies
