Job Description

Overview

The Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys will lead and mentor a team of 5-7 individuals in commercial and industrial refrigeration projects. This hands-on role involves overseeing installation tasks, ensuring project compliance, and maintaining safety standards while fostering relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the project crew
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities
  • Communicate with tradespeople on the job site
  • Track project schedule to ensure timely completion
  • Serve as the lead technical resource on assigned projects
  • Control job costs and report on job status
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience
  • Hands-on experience with copper brazing and wiring
  • High school diploma or GED, trade program or technical school completion preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and delegate effectively
  • Proficient with business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, and ERP software
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability
