Overview

CoolSys is seeking a Refrigeration Foreman for Commercial and Industrial projects in Fort Myers, Florida. This role involves leading and mentoring a project crew while ensuring efficient project completion and adhering to safety compliance. The position requires hands-on experience with supermarket refrigeration installations and collaboration with various stakeholders on the job site.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of 5-7 project crew members.
  • Manage project schedules and track job status and performance.
  • Perform hands-on supermarket refrigeration installations and copper brazing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with installation policies and safety procedures.
  • Oversee the work of Apprentices and Journeymen on specific projects.
  • Control job costs and manage project labor hours.
  • Delegate tasks and provide clear instructions to team members.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with supermarket refrigeration installations.
  • Experience in copper brazing and underground/above ground wiring.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to organize tasks and make sound judgments.
  • Proficient in business tools like E-Mail, Word, Excel, and ERP software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
