Job Description

Overview

As a Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys, you will lead and mentor a project crew while overseeing various refrigeration projects, particularly in supermarket installations. This role requires hands-on technical skills alongside leadership and organizational abilities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor a project crew of 5-7 individuals
  • Control job costs and report on job status and performance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Oversee the work of apprentices and journeymen on specific projects
  • Perform hands-on tasks such as copper brazing and supermarket refrigeration installations

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience
  • Hands-on experience with copper brazing and underground/above ground wiring
  • High school diploma or GED; trade program or technical school completion preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and delegate assignments
  • Proficient in using business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, and ERP software
  • Ability to follow safety regulations and company policies
