Job Description

Overview

As a Refrigeration Foreman at CoolSys, you will lead a project crew in commercial refrigeration installations, prioritizing and delegating tasks while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This hands-on role requires significant experience in supermarket refrigeration and strong leadership skills to mentor team members on-site.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor the project crew
  • Prioritize and delegate responsibilities
  • Communicate with tradespeople on the job site
  • Track project schedule to ensure timely completion
  • Perform hands-on work, including copper brazing and refrigeration installations
  • Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects
  • Report on job status and performance
  • Control job costs
  • Maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and use of PPE

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related trade
  • Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience
  • Hands-on experience in copper brazing and wiring
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to organize tasks and give clear instructions
  • Proficient with business tools including Email, Word, Excel, and ERP software
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability
