Overview

ClareMedica Health Partners LLC is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Referral Coordinator to join their team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, the coordinator will assist patients in scheduling and managing referrals to specialists, ensuring a smooth experience throughout the healthcare process, and contributing to the overall mission of enhancing lives within the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate referral appointments with outside specialists.
  • Manage and document patient referrals to ensure safety and team awareness.
  • Provide excellent customer service during in-person and phone interactions.
  • Communicate clinical information to specialists as per referral guidelines.
  • Assist patients in overcoming healthcare-related barriers and issues.
  • Remind patients of scheduled appointments and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as required.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in processing referrals or clinical/front desk experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in teams
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare standards
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
