Overview

Description: KVCAP, which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is hiring a Full Time Referral and Outreach Coordinator within its Social Services Department. This position represents the Maine Families Home Visiting Program and Family Enrichment Councils (FECs) in the community, managing Maine Families referrals and connecting prospective clients to agency and community resources. This is a remote position that requires regular participation at in-person meetings and activities throughout Kennebec and Somerset Counties. Requirements: Manages referrals to the Maine Families Home Visiting Program and oversees a waitlist when applicable.Initiates and maintains community partnerships that will improve supports to families and increase referrals to the Maine Families and FEC programs, with a specific focus on working with area hospitals and other medical providers.Represents the Social Services department at community events throughout the year and assists in planning events hosted by the Department as needed.Distributes concrete supports to families, such as diapers and cribettes through the Cribs for Kids program.Supports the Maine Families program as a trained Family visitor, partnering with families to provide home visiting services using a strengths based approach as needed.RequirementsAssociates Degree or equivalent college credits. Minimum of three years of experience in Social Services, Early Childhood, Social Work or other related field and at least two years supervised work experience with families and young children. Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, DHHS, DMV, National Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background checks.Vehicle with liability insurance.A resume, highlighting your experience with young children, must be included with your application.
