The location in Port Alberni, BC, is seeking talent to fill the position of Red Seal Electrician. This job is permanent and full-time Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production related equipment to ensure proper and safe operation of all production systems. Install new electrical control systems and maintain existing control systems. Troubleshoot and repair machines in an industrial setting, in a timely and accurate manner. Design, layout, program and calibrate new equipment and installations. Key Skills: Dedicated to safety, proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence. Effective communicator to other departments. Utilize the Maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Commitment to working within and creating a safe and healthy work environment. Team player who can work as part of a team or in an independent setting. Computer skills and assets. Respond to production calls during downtime. Communicate updates to supervisor to maintain goals. Required Professional Experience/Qualifications: Red Seal certification. 3 to 5 years' experience in related industrial environment. An uncompromising approach to safety. Ability to work in a team and independently. Available for mill 12 hour operational shift schedules. Salary rate: $48.66 per hour as per the Collective Agreement.
