Overview

Eucharist Church in San Francisco is seeking a Rector to lead the parish into a new chapter of spiritual depth and community impact. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sacramental tradition and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and theologically rich community.

Key responsibilities

  • Preach and teach with biblical clarity and theological depth
  • Shepherd a diverse congregation with humility and compassion
  • Cultivate a Benedictine-inspired spiritual life among the congregation
  • Shape a robust vision of discipleship and catechesis for all ages
  • Lead collaboratively with staff and vestry toward strategic growth and outreach
  • Represent Eucharist within the ACNA and local community

Required skills

  • Master of Divinity (MDiv) or equivalent
  • Ordained Anglican ministry experience
  • Sacramental imagination and Christ-centered faith
  • Rooted in historic orthodoxy and traditional biblical views
  • Emotional grounding with a warm pastoral presence
  • Ability to navigate a post-Christian urban environment
  • Collaborative spirit and non-anxious leadership style
  • Understanding of 'High Church' liturgy
